Imagine this; once you’re no longer around, what’s going to happen to your email accounts, social media pages, Netflix or Spotify subscriptions or other digital accounts? Do you want your loved ones to be able to access your email, memorialise your Facebook page, cancel that monthly Netflix fee or even delete your browser history? 😉

Great news! We’ve recently released a new feature on Bereev called Digital Assets under the Assets category where you’ll be able to create and maintain a list of all your digital assets, information on how to access them as well as for instructions on what to do with all those accounts. This feature is available exclusively to our Plus users so if you’re still on the Lite version, this is the perfect time to upgrade your account.

1 – Go to Digital Assets @ Assets

It should be the 2nd or 3rd tile you’ll see.

Click on the orange Edit button.

2 – Add Digital Asset

If you haven’t done this before, this page will be empty.

Once you’ve updated this, it will appear as a list.

3 – Specify Type and Service Provider

Specify what type of digital asset this is, pick from the drop-down selections or click on Others if it’s something else. Then choose which service provider is this account from (i.e.: Gmail, Netflix, Spotify and etc).

Select Others if what you’re looking for isn’t available.

4 – Include Login Credentials

Now guide your sidekicks on how to access this account, include your username or email used to log in and tell them where to find your password (if you’re using a password management app like LastPass). Alternatively, add a clue to your password that only your sidekicks would understand.

Feel free to skip the password step as you see fit.

5 – Billing Information (Optional)

If this is a paid service like Netflix or Spotify Premium, include some basic billing information including which payment method are you using, how much do you pay for it and how often.

Ensure that your loved ones know what to expect.

6 – Important Details (Optional)

Let your sidekicks know if this is a service you use for work or if it’s a personal account. If you have more than 1 account for this asset type, make sure you flag which is your primary account (i.e.: I have multiple email addresses but my Gmail account is the main one).

The Primary flag will tell them which is your main account.

7 – Add Instructions

Now you’ll need to let your sidekicks know what they’ll have to do with this account, do you want them to continue using it or should they cancel your subscription or delete your account entirely. The more specific you are, the easier it’ll be for your loved ones.

Select Others if you have another arrangement in mind.

8 – Upload Documents (Optional)

Attach your latest invoice or any other supporting documents during this step.

Pro Tip: Upload a copy of your most recent invoice.

9 – Review Your Digital Assets

All of the digital assets that you’ve added will now appear as a list.

Click on any of the digital assets from this list to edit/delete them.

10 – Edit or Delete Digital Assets

If you need to edit a particular digital asset, just click on it and you’ll find the Edit button on the top right of your screen. While the Delete or Remove button is at the bottom.

Come back and edit your digital assets anytime.
Or remove them if they’re no longer relevant.
